Gorgie Open Day 2024

On Saturday, Gorgie Workshops opened their doors to the public to showcase all the wonderful things they've been up to.

Visitors were invited to make their own wooden robot keyrings, try their hand at leather craft and experiment with cyanotypes, to name just a few activities.

After all that hungry work, people filled the canteen and outdoor tables to sample the treats from Gorgie's food workshops. The Confectionary, Bakery and Canteen had been hard at work all morning making sure there were enough scones, soups, bread and delicious vegan sausage rolls to feed everybody plentifully.

Luckily, the sun shone on Gorgie, so a game or two of bocce (fast becoming the official sport of Garvald!) was in order as well.
