Relief Workers

We are now open for applications from anyone interested in working on a relief basis at our workshops in Edinburgh (Gorgie/Dalry area). 

The Workshops are:

Joinery, Bakery, Confectionary, Woodwork, Tools, Kitchens, Puppetry, Pottery, Glass, Painting, Land Group, Weaving

Art and craft skills and experience of working with people with disabilities are essential. Flexibility to work across different workshops preferred. Sometimes we also need relief cover for our administrators (office-based staff). We ask for a minimum availability of two days per week. The hourly rate for this work is currently £13.41 including holiday pay. There is currently no closing date, please submit your application as soon as possible.

Successful candidates will be required to join, or to already be members of, the PVG scheme before formal offer of appointment. Garvald will pay half the cost of joining for successful candidates who are not already members.
